is it better to eat it all in one sitting, is it better to eat it with fat ? are the answers different for being insulin resistant or sensitive ? my intuition told me to eat all fruits in one sitting, but now im not sure, seeing people talk about sugar spikes and such. i thought that having it all in one go, would keep my ketosys longer thoughts ?

That is the difficulty. You want to seriously slow down absorbtion, not just a little bit. You can't just take a bag of sugar, add some fat to it and now expect the effect to be less. The fat will be broken down by the bile into very small particles, if that free up the sugar then the sugar still gets easily absorbed. Fat does not prevent insulin, it just has very little effect in triggering it compared to any other macros. If you do decide to take in carbs then do take them isolated if weight is your concern. But it doesn't really make sense to take carbs... can't recommend to take it all at once because that spikes your insulin very high which will take a long time before the insulin is back to a normal level, can't recommend to take it in small portions throughout the day because then you have continuous raised insulin level, can't recommend to take it at the end of the day because then it blocks your needed growth hormone and affects your sleep. Perhaps only in the morning if you do IF where you only eat in the evening.
from JowgenITP via /r/ketoscience sent 1 day ago According to this guy, you'd be better off keeping fats out whenever your insulin is higher, not only for the purpose of preventing fat storage, but to avoid sending your mitochondira mixed, potentially damaging signals. The caveat imo is that even in the absence of fats, if you spike your blood glucose high enough, a certain surplus will get converted to fat and stores. Acetic Acid (e.g. applecider vinegar) is relatively effective as slowing GI impact, so that might help there.
from WestCoastFireX via /r/ketoscience sent 1 day ago I've heard numerous times that if one is going to consume carbs, consume them by themselves but especially away from fat. I believe the reason being the carbs spiking insulin, and insulin pushing fat storage.
[–]old_user_handle 6 points 1 day ago Higher concentrations of sugars will knock you temporarily out of ketogenesis until the sugars are cleared and insulin returns to lower levels. If you're eating 50g of carbohydrates throughout the day, your liver will keep processing fats and producing ketones. I try to limit my carbs at meals, and use berries and small amounts of other fruits during the day when I need a small energy spike. My understanding is that when you eat a high fat, high sugar meal, then the fat will get stored, and some of the sugar will also be converted to fat and stored because you have an excess of these energy sources in your blood after the meal. This is probably counter to your fat loss goals. permalinkembedsavereportgive goldreply [–]Ricosss 7 points 1 day ago You should question yourself why you would need an energy spike in a keto diet... Then probably your carb intake is too high and you are not in ketosis. permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]DownhillYardSale 1 point 18 hours ago Because I'm about ready to do some bursty HIIT? permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]CalfReddit 1 point 17 hours ago Even then you don't need it permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]DownhillYardSale 1 point 13 hours ago False statement. There is no doubt whatsoever that having glucose availability for Type IIb muscle fiber contraction is beneficial.
